Odense International Film Festival

Odense International Film Festival is a short film festival with a long and successful tradition since its first appearance in 1975.
Every year in August, the citizens of Odense and film enthusiasts from all over the country have the opportunity of experiencing films from all over the world, films that otherwise would never reach the big screen. And all this for free!

The festival takes place from 23rd -28th of August on Brandts Klædefabrik, which is being transformed into an international Film Mekka bursting with great cultural experiences;
and with the ongoing film screenings there will be an atmosphere of festivity and immersion.

Odense International Film festival 2010 is standing strong with a moving, inspiring and challenging film programme, a new artistic leader and more interesting side events than ever before. We feel somewhat proud that we are close to international standards.

We want to be the cosiest and most courageous short film festival with a varied and experimenting film programme with thought-provoking experiences, debates, workshops, concerts and much more.

The heart of the festival is as always extraordinary films from all over the world carefully chosen by Mikkel Munch-Fals, our skilled artistic captain and his team. The outcome is a
clear-cut and all-round film programme which leaves room for all sorts; underground, weird, strange and beautiful. From animation, films for children, experimental films and of course the good story, short fiction and documentaries.
