• OFF26 takes place in Week 35, from Monday, 24 August to Sunday, 30 August, in the heart of Odense.
• OFF – Odense International Film Festival is Denmark’s oldest and only film festival accredited by the Academy Awards (Oscar®), the European Film Awards (EFA), BAFTA, and the Robert Awards. In 2025, the short film festival was also honoured with a Special Bodil Award in recognition of its significant contribution to Danish cinema, the same year it celebrated its 50th anniversary.
• A total of 194 short films from 51 countries have been selected for this year’s competition programme. The festival received 4,092 submissions overall.
• The competition programme consists of four main competitions: the International Competition, the Danish Competition, the Animation Competition, and the Documentary Competition. All four competitions include Oscar-qualifying awards.
• In addition, the programme features the Youth Competition, showcasing films from the four main competitions that are particularly suited to younger audiences, as well as the new Music Video Competition, celebrating the creative intersection of music and film.
• Beyond the competition programme, OFF offers a wide range of events, including talks with leading figures from the film industry, open-air screenings, screenings for children and young people, concerts, workshops, and networking events. The full programme will be announced on 9 June.
• OFF has created its own streaming platform, OFFStream.dk, where audiences can watch selected short films from the festival’s extensive archive free of charge. During Weeks 35 and 36, this year’s competition films will also be available to stream online via OFFStream.dk for DKK 89.
