Safety and Conduct
At OFF we want to take good care of each other, so that everyone has a safe and good experience.
By participating in OFF, you agree to behave in accordance with our code of conduct.
In the event that an attendee at the festival does not comply with the code of conduct, Odense International Film Festival reserves the right to take any necessary action, at its discretion, according to the level of gravity. This includes partial or complete expulsion from the festival without compensation.
Code of Conduct
We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment or violent behaviour.
Odense International Film Festival does not tolerate any kind of behavior which threatens the dignity or the physical, mental, and/or emotional integrity of others. Odense International Film Festival does not tolerate any form of violent or hateful behavior or speech toward any individual based on gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, nationality, disability, or cultural, social, ethnic, religious background.
When attending the festival, always…
- Respect the films, speakers and audiences. Do not interrupt or otherwise be disruptive at our events.
- Respect other people’s physical and emotional boundaries.
- Ask for permission before taking photos of others. Be aware that OFF has hired photographers for our events; if you do not wish to appear in any pictures, please let our photographers know.
- Take responsibility for your own safety and ask for help if you need it.
- Meet new topics, individuals, and perspectives without prejudice.
The consumption of alcohol and/or narcotic substances is no excuse for inappropriate behaviour and is the responsibility of the consumer.
If you encounter or witness any harassment, discrimination or other unacceptable behaviour, please contact the festival staff at the venue or reach out to us at filmfestival@odense.dk. All communication related to this policy will be dealt with in confidence.
If your own behaviour offends others, please be prepared to recognize the problem and adjust your conduct.
Our staff and volunteers have spent a lot of time and effort bringing this festival to life. We expect you to extend your respect to them as you would to other attendees. Likewise, each of the films in the program were created with unique perspectives, passion and a lot of work that we want to honour together. Inappropriate or derogatory comments and disruptive noises in the cinema are not part of our festival culture.
