Urban human beings live under very similar physical conditions: inhabiting the same kind of structures, taking our kids to the same playgrounds and buying groceries at the same stores. But through identity, we can differentiate ourselves from our neighbours. Increasingly, it gives us a sense of meaning and importance as individuals. But does it make us forget about our neighbours?
