The deadline for uploading your film is June 15th, 2025.

The contact person from each film will have received an email from the festival from no-reply@offload.filmfestival.dk. This email can end up in the SPAM folder, so be sure to check there, too. The email contains a link to upload the film.

Remember that all films MUST have subtitles in English, also when the spoken language is English.

It is crucial that the film has the right specifications. Find our specification options for film upload here.

Why those specifications?

We have film screenings in several different venues, not all of which can screen DCP’s. That is why we have the specifications linked above: to ensure the best screening quality of your films with the equipment available.

An accreditation gives special festival access to members of the film industry. With an accreditation, you can book tickets for free to all the screenings and events in the program, plus you also gain access to a series of special offers and all industry events, which include talks, workshops, and networking receptions.

As an accredited guest, you will also receive special merch, a festival catalogue and a personalized name card when you check in at the festival.

Accreditation for OFF25 opens on the 10th of June and closes on the 7th of June.

Although you have an accreditation, you must still book tickets if you want to attend an event or screening, otherwise it is not certain that you will be able to come in.

Who can get accredited?

All filmmakers with a film in the competitions can get accredited for free. A link to the accreditation form has been sent to the contact person for each film, which they should share with any members of the film’s cast and crew that wish to attend the festival.

Other accredited guests include program guests, film students, and people working in the film industry.

To become accredited, you must fill out the accreditation form. In the form, you register your attendance to OFF and can do the following: you can book hotel accommodation through us, register yourself for Q&A’s for your film, add yourself to the Industry Guide, book tickets for Kick OFF and the Awards show, and more. You can read more about this later on this site.

After you fill out the accreditation form, you will receive an email with two links: one to book tickets with and one to see an overview of your accreditation. It is a good idea to save this email so you can easily find it later.

Book Tickets

When you use the link to book tickets with, you are automatically logged in to our ticket site, where you can book tickets for free using your accreditation. Just choose Accredited Ticket as the ticket type when you go through the booking flow and remember to check that your contact information is correct in the last step.

You can only book one Accredited Ticket per event or screening, and the ticket system will not let you book tickets where the time slots overlap.

You can also book tickets for other people you want to bring with you, which you will have to pay for.

When you book tickets with your accreditation, you will receive them by email, but you will also be able to access them through your accreditation overview and through the personalized QR-code on your name tag.

Your accreditation overview

Here you can see all the tickets that you have booked, as well as cancel them or book more.

You can also see a short overview of your attendance at the festival, whether or not you have booked hotel through us, and access the festival’s Industry Guide.

For international films, the festival offers three nights of accommodation including breakfast for one filmmaker per film in a single room. If more than one filmmaker from your film is coming, you must coordinate amongst yourselves who gets the offer. You can upgrade the room to a double room for a charge of 140 DKK/19 EUR.

If any other crew members are coming, or if you want to book extra nights, you can book through us at a discounted rate: 580 DKK/78 EUR per night for a single room + 140 DKK/19 EUR for a double room.

Accommodation is booked through the accreditation form.

We send all bookings at once to the hotel after the deadline for accreditation, so you will receive information about which specific Milling Hotels you will be staying at and the room number afterwards.

If you book accommodation though us, you don’t need to do anything else except make sure the details of your booking are correct before the 7th of August, and check in directly at the hotel when you arrive in Odense. If you are covering any of the costs for your stay yourself, you pay when you check in.

The Danish borders are open, but please be sure to check the rules and regulations from your own country travelling to and from Denmark.

Unfortunately, we cannot cover any travel costs. You can reach out to your country’s embassy in Denmark and apply for financial support for your travel to Odense.

You can find information about how to get to Odense from the airport here.

In the Industry Guide you can see other accredited guests that will be attending the festival, whom you may want to meet during the festival.

It is optional to be added to the Industry Guide, and you let us know whether you want to be added there through the accreditation form.

You can access the Industry Guide through your accreditation overview.

The complete festival program will be released between the end of May and start of June 2025.

The films in the competitions are screened in blocks, with 4 to 7 films shown in each screening. After all the films have been shown in each block, there is the opportunity for a Q&A (questions and answers) session, moderated by one of our volunteers. During these sessions, the audience will be able to ask questions about the films to the filmmakers that made them, if they are present.

We expect all attending filmmakers to participate in at least one Q&A after the screening of their film.

There are no Q&A’s for screenings happening during the opening ceremony or the Awards show, nor during YOU-screenings.

If you would like to participate in the Q&A’s after the screenings of your film, you can register yourself through the accreditation flow or by contacting OFF at offguest@odense.dk.

OFF’s opening ceremony, KickOFF, will take place on Monday the 25th of August 2025.

This year, it will also be the celebration of the festival’s 50th anniversary.

The Awards show will take place on Saturday the 30th of August 2025.

If you wish to attend the show, you MUST book a ticket. Also if you have a film in one of the competitions.

Tickets to the Award show are reserved for accredited guests, therefore we do not give tickets to accompanying guests.

There is a high demand for tickets to the show, and they sell out quickly, so be sure to fill out the accreditation form and book your tickets in good time. You can book your tickets through the accreditation form or your accreditation overview, if you have already filled out the form.

All films from the competition programmes will be available on our streaming platform, OFFstream.dk, during the festival week and the week after (from the 25th of August to the 7th of September). The films will be geo-blocked, available only in Denmark, and behind a paywall.

OFFstream is also available during the rest of the year, where people in Denmark can access for free around 500 films that have previously been shown at the festival.
